Lattix

Lattix is a custom-designed display font inspired by the structural elegance of mazes and the geometric repetition found in traditional Chinese lattice patterns. Each character in Lattix is confined within a strict 3×3 grid, embracing a minimalist system where every cell must be either completely filled or completely unfilled—no gradients, curves, or partial fills.

The inspiration came from the maze-like patterns on traditional Chinese doors and windows. This led to the idea of a modular, monospaced typeface where each letterform maintains consistent rhythm and spacing through uniform stroke width. The approach emphasizes a clean, grid-based aesthetic while ensuring a distinct identity between uppercase and lowercase forms.
